Name: Ainsleigh Tamsin MacFusty; but really just call her Leigh
House & Graduation Year: Gryffindor (87-94) prefect
Occupation: Personal Assistant to the Weird Sisters. Her job REALLY is a two person job. But due to a series of incidences including but not limited to: assistants being scared off, assistants just quitting, assistants being secretly crazy and trying to steal Myron's hair for a voodoo doll, assistant going crazy, or one of the band members shagging them, she's the only one that's still around. She hires others, but she rarely expects them to hang around for too long. Especially considering the fact that she's sometimes surprised SHE'S hung around so long.
Allegiance: She definitely subscribes to the philosophy of the light, and she believes that no one should be discriminated against, but her family has always been so far removed from any conflict.
Blood Status: Pure-ish, the MacFusty clan has been in the Hebrides Islands caring for the Hebridean Black dragons for hundreds of years. They're an extremely old family, but they are not one that has traditionally had purist tendencies. As a result, they've married anyone regardless of background.
Birthday & Other Important Dates: January 23rd, 1976; 27
PB: Rose Bryne

Leigh is extremely anal-retentive. She has a hard time relaxing, loves her planner, and everything else that comes from being anal-retentive. She just likes her things in a certain order, and she actually enjoys controlling the chaos that surrounds her in her job. No one would believe the amount of random nonproblems that become problems that just pop up when working with temperamental rockstars.
Leigh was a Gryffindor, and to this day she really doesn’t know why. She assumes it was because that’s what she was expecting when she sat under the hat. Her father was a Gryffindor and three of her brothers were Gryffindors, and it was what she wanted. She doesn’t fit into what you would think of a Gryffindor. She doesn’t normally speak or act without thinking. She’s not brash, and she doesn’t think of herself as exceptionally brave. The only major thing about her which could be considered Gryffindorish is the fact that she’s in no way a floormat, and she’ll tell you as much if she thinks you’re taking advantage.
The problem with Leigh is that she’s still not that comfortable in her own skin. She wishes she was different. She wishes she didn’t play it safe so often. She wishes she was adventurous and brash and incredibly open to new things without needing to be prodded into doing them. Which is usually done by her bosses to be honest, she's got the tattoo to prove it. The fact that she'd been thinking about it for a while and had the design picked out is beside the point. They’re charming for the most part, and she’s a bit prone to it after a couple of drinks.
Speaking of her bosses, she loves her job, even if sometimes she notices how it’s a bit detrimental to her own life. She can use her natural skills and talents in it. Leigh is only happy when she’s busy, and there’s something to do. She’s incredibly punctual, and she has an head for figures and dates. The skills that helped her so much in classes like Arithmancy and History of Magic translated well to keeping up with times, schedules, and birthdates. She adores her bosses, and she considers them friends. She’s seen them and known them outside of the rockstar persona, and a time or two they’ve seen her not at her best, but they mesh well together.
Leigh was always a bit different from her family, but it didn’t impede her relationships with them in anyway. They may not have always understood her but they were always supportive. In return, they’re some of the only people that can get her to calm down and relax. Leigh doesn’t care who you are there’s just something about the Hebrides Islands on the reserve or just camping that’s incredibly relaxing.
She loves it there, and one day she may go back, but there’s other things she wanted to do with her life before living life on the reserve. She always felt that that life was always just expected of everyone in their family. Her sibling are in the Hebrides or at other reserves. She just wanted to do differently.
Claire Yates and Kevin MacFusty were kind of kindred souls. The Gryffindor and Ravenclaw met in Care of Magical Creatures. Claire always had a huge interest in animals and she had dreams of being a magiczoologist, and Kevin wasn’t much of a student in anything other than Care of Magical Creatures. The pair struck up a friendship when Claire offered to help tutor him in everything else.
After Hogwarts the pair ran into each other often. They were in the same career circles after all, but now as adults, the sparks began to fly. The pair was married a couple years later. Meanwhile, the two of them had some rough spots. Claire often times would leave for a few weeks at a time. Most of the time Kevin went with her, but when he didn’t the pair missed each other. They got through it. She took a break when she was pregnant for the first time and wrote her first book. After, the two of them went back into the wild with a toddler strapped to their back.
Leigh was born some years later. She was one of five children and the second girl. At this point both her parents were fairly established in their careers. Her father and uncle had taken over the reserve from their father, and her mother still took trips every so often, but she did a lot of writing as well.
Leigh realized early on that her family might not be like others. They were all easy going, went camping tons, but mostly they ran a dragon reservation, which isn’t something too many people are involved in, much less as a family business.
So Leigh’s childhood was spent in in the wilderness. She went camping with her parents and her siblings; she watched her father and uncle work with the dragons, or she went with her mom to strange countries. Overall, it was a good place to be.
Leigh had always taken charge and been independent. These were traits that her parents taught their children. Her job on the reserve quickly became keeping the office straightened up. She loved her father and uncle but the both of them were so incredibly disorganized. One day she couldn’t look at the office anymore, and she completely put it together. She was nine.
Even though she was a bit anxious to get off the Hebrides, Leigh didn’t react the best to being in Hogwarts. She was incredibly homesick, and she really hadn’t had much interaction with children outside of her family. She found making friends difficult. She was a stickler, always studying, and she had a tendency to be abrasive when she thought people were doing something bad to her (which oftentimes was her just overreacting).
It wasn’t until her second year that she really fell into her niche. She did well in classes. Although was really upset at the end of the year when she found out that she had to actually take Care of Magical Creature to sit the OWL exam at the end of her fifth year. She was pretty sure she could have aced it without taking the class, but McGonagall insisted. She did well in Arithmancy, Charms, Transfiguration, Care of Magical Creatures, and History of Magic (even if she mostly taught it to herself). She found Plants boring and Snape to be horrible. Unfortunately, she didn't even TRY on her Herbology OWL.
After Hogwarts Leigh wasn’t entirely sure what she was going to do. She worked in the office at the reserve for a while as she put out other applications. To be honest, her family was pretty sure that her plans to leave were a show of something that wouldn’t actually happen. The longer she stayed, the more they believed this to be true.
After a year she found a job, working as an assistant to one of the owners of the WWN. By this time there were rumors about You-know-who being back, but that’s what they were. Rumors. Leigh didn’t strike out completely on her own. People were either scared, or talking about the nutter that is Harry Potter. Leigh decided that it be best to commute just in case. Her home was pretty far removed from most anything.
She hadn’t been working for the Wireless long when the owners were able to secure, not just an interview, but a live concert with the Weird Sisters. It was Leigh’s job to collaborate with their people to be sure they got everything they needed. During the planning process the band went though three assistants filling two slots, and on the day of the concert they had NO assistants. Leigh still made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible.
After, the boys sort of poached her. Better pay, chance to see other countries. She jumped at the chance. They just needed someone to get them through the next few weeks. They had sort of given up on someone sticking around, but to their surprise Leigh was stubborn and she did. And she's outlasted several number twos over the past couple of years.
Ainsleigh had no idea about the final battle or anything until it was over. Life pretty much returned to normal for her very quickly. She kept her job with the WS. Over time, however, their current management kept making a few questionable decisions about the marketability of the band. Leigh was opposed to each one (because she loves those boys even if she complains.) And the boys fired the management and hired her. She's still attempting to learn this thing called delegate, but she's other wise happy.
She's not seeing anyone, so Penny sets her up on blind dates all the time.
